Le temps est compté. En un captivant flashback de huit mois de labeur, des mains expertes confectionnent dans le plus grand secret la robe de mariage de la princesse d’Angleterre. Dans l’atelier de haute couture de Paris, à Alençon, royaume des dentellières, ou à Mumbai, contrée des brodeurs, se dévoilent des histoires de vies marquées par le silence et les larmes. Avec cette pièce chorale pour 10 interprètes, dans une scénographie spectaculaire, Caroline Guiela Nguyen croise les récits pour raconter la violence des rapports de domination. Des écrans en split-screen, reprenant les codes d’une série télé, font valser les temps et les continents.

Caroline Guiela Nguyen, voix incontournable du paysage théâtral français n’a d’yeux que pour les invisibles de ce monde. D’un trait hyperréaliste qui embrasse magistralement le poétique, elle dessine des personnages à l’image de la richesse et de la complexité des populations.
