Le trompettiste de renommée mondiale Wynton Marsalis sera de passage au Festival International de Jazz de Montréal à l'été 2025.

Wynton Marsalis, directeur général et artistique du Jazz at Lincoln Center, a commencé sa formation musicale à 12 ans et s’est imposé comme un artiste incontournable, alternant entre jazz et musique classique. Lauréat de 9 GRAMMY Awards et premier compositeur de jazz à remporter le prix Pulitzer, il a enregistré plus de 1 500 morceaux et créé des œuvres monumentales, telles que All Rise et plusieurs ballets, symphonies et suites. En plus d’être un compositeur prolifique, Marsalis est un éducateur engagé, directeur fondateur des études de jazz à la Juilliard School et pilier du Jazz at Lincoln Center, où il promeut les valeurs universelles du jazz : créativité, coopération, et résilience face à l’adversité.
