Théâtre déambulatoire : Portage dans le temps des allumettières Avec le Théâtre Dérives urbaines Dates : 7, 14, 28 et 29 septembre 2024 Heures des parcours : de 13h00 à 14h00 et de 15h30 à 16h30 Départ : 1, rue Wellington (Théâtre de l’Île) Durée : entre 60 et 75 minutes Gratuit, sur réservation (nombre de places limité) Le Théâtre Dérives Urbaines vous invite à un faire un voyage temporel et théâtral dans une époque de la Ville de Gatineau marquée par l'industrialisation, la syndicalisation ouvrière et le courage de filles et de femmes déterminées à faire valoir leurs droits. Accompagné par Michel Prévost, président de la Société d'histoire de l'Outaouais, vous irez à la rencontre de l'histoire fascinante des allumettières. Ce parcours guidé vous transportera, à pied, jusqu’à la contre-grève de 1924 opposant les patrons de la E.B. Eddy aux travailleuses de la fabrique d’allumettes. En chemin, vous croiserez un entrepreneur américain, une jeune ouvrière, un représentant du clergé et une pionnière du mouvement syndical. En septembre 2024, venez soutenir la cause des allumettières et brandir votre pancarte bien haut aux côtés d’un guide chevronné ainsi que de comédiennes et comédiens professionnels!
