Returning to Toronto after its sold-out run at Next Stage Festival in 2020, TEASE, a Big City Kitties production in association with Crow’s Theatre, challenges society’s patriarchal views and misogynistic expectations while unflinchingly poking fun at its own “woke” packaging. Combining elements of clown, sketch comedy, improv, and dance, TEASE is as salty as it is sweet in its exploration of sex, politics, and what it means to be a woman in this reimagining of the burlesque comedy genre.   Created and directed by award-winning comedienne Lindsay Mullan, TEASE is a multi-faceted theatrical experience that entertains with humour and sex appeal while managing to surprise audiences with an underlying heartfelt message.   AUDIENCE ADVISORY: This show uses strobe lights and contains nudity and depictions of sexual assault. TEASE is restricted to those aged 18+.      DIGITAL PROGRAMME DOWNLOAD THE HOUSE PROGRAMME  READ THE REVIEWS   “This revolutionary comedy show is funny, smart, instructive, disturbing, brave, joyous, deeply humane, and honest. Everyone needs to see it.” Glenn Sumi   “But the most thoughtful part happened when Mullan chose to go beyond...baring her soul in one of the most powerful statements on self-respect I’ve ever heard on stage.” Roger Levesque (4.5 stars out of 5) The Edmonton Journal   “All three demonstrate their prowess as they draw out the tensions within burlesque. Mullan’s remarkable vulnerability towards the end stands out as a powerful contrast to the rest of the show...capturing the distinct layers of what it’s like to live inside an objectified body every day.” Lisa McKeown (NNNN) Now Magazine  MEET THE CAST    Glenys Marshall - Writer/Performer Glenys is a musical comedian born and raised on Anishinaabe Algonquin territory.
