Immerse yourself in the depth and dynamic range of chamber music with the New Orford String Quartet, featuring our 2024/25 Musician-In-Residence violinist Andrew Wan. The program features WA Mozart's emotionally intense "Quartet in D minor," showcasing the composer's intricate mastery. Experience "Dreams," a new work by Métis composer Ian Cusson, our 2023/24 Composer-In-Residence, and Franz Schubert's "Death and the Maiden," a 40-minute masterpiece of haunting melodies and vigorous intensity, offering a rich journey through the emotional and stylistic landscapes of string quartet literature. Presented with the generous support of Musician-in-Residence Presenting Partner – Lang Optometry and Eyewear.
