BURLINGTON NEW MILLENNIUM ORCHESTRA Conductor/Artistic Director Maestro Charles Cozens This is the second opportunity for young Canadian “Emerging Stars” to perform with the BNMO, Burlington’s only professional orchestra. This amazing concert is the culmination of a four-month competition. The first round, completed in December 2024 was based on selecting the best video performances submitted to the competition committee. The next round was conducted in person, with performers presenting live to the adjudicators on February 9th, 2025, at the Steinway Gallery in Mississauga, ON. Grand Finale The Grand Finale is on April 30th, when finalists will perform live at BPAC with the Burlington New Millennium Orchestra. At the end of the concert, the judges will select the prize winners… live on stage. This exciting event features the remarkable virtuoso talents of young, prodigious musicians from Burlington, Oakville, Toronto and the greater Niagara region. Under the direction of BNMO Conductor Charles Cozens, the competition will include musical genres such as classical, jazz, pop, and rock and will feature extraordinary performers on instruments such as piano, violin, flute, and more.
