BPAC favourite Classic Albums Live and its roster of A-list musicians from across the country will be performing Led Zeppelin’s Led Zeppelin II exactly as you remember hearing it, note for note, cut for cut. Led Zeppelin II is the second studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 22 October 1969. The album exhibited the band’s evolving musical style of blues-derived material and their guitar riff-based sound. It has been described as the band’s heaviest album and since its release, various writers and music critics have cited Led Zeppelin II as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time. Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live takes the greatest albums and recreates them live on stage – note for note, cut for cut, using the best musicians. “Think of it as a recital,” says Martin, “these albums are historic and stand the test of time.” Forgoing costumes and impersonations, Classic Albums Live has found success in concentrating solely on the music. “We don’t dress up or wear any sort of costume.
