A 2025 Brott Education Concert for Grades K–6 Students, prepare for liftoff! Join Commander Marty and the Intergalactic National Academy Orchestra of Canada on a musical journey through space, discovery, and the wonders of our home planet, Earth. With narration, visuals, and interactive moments, students will explore how music helps us imagine the unknown, express emotion, and appreciate returning to home base — our one-of-a-kind world. This high-energy concert features music inspired by the cosmos, from Holst’s Planets, Mars and Jupiter to blockbuster favourites like Star Wars and Superman. We conclude with a Canadian call for unity and peace as we celebrate the undeniable beauty of returning home to Earth. Along the way, your students will: Hear orchestral music that’s been sent into space — including a nod to the historic 2025 Blue Danube transmission. Learn about orchestral instruments through fun, visual demonstrations. Experience an anthem for global unity by Canadian composer Maxime Goulet. Connect musical concepts to science, emotion, and imagination. Engage in a program tailored specifically for K–6 learners, with specially designed classroom support materials. BLAST OFF! ORCHESTRA IN ORBIT is part of the national award-winning Brott Music Education Concerts — accessible, curriculum-connected experiences designed for elementary school and homeschool students.
