Whether it was a Disney animation, a Sci-Fi thriller or a drama that told tales of love or loss, it’s the music of those films or shows that can transport you right back into the stories that captured your imagination.</p> <p>Let New West Symphony &amp; Chorus and New West Student Ensemble take you on a journey as they perform <strong><em>The Story of Tonight: Music of Stage &amp; Screen</em></strong>. Proudly presented by New West Music &amp; Arts Society, concert guests will enjoy unique renditions of songs that will undoubtedly bring you back in time, be it a year or more than fifty (and a whole lot in between)!</p> <p>For 15 years, New West has been re-defining choral music, proving that it is anything but ‘hum-drum’. In fact, when you experience the passion and energy that is exuded when 150 talented musicians fill the stage, you’ll understand why a past first-time concert guest had this to say:</p> <p>“My partner and I were invited to this show by one of New West’s members; we said ‘yes,’ but we were prepared for an evening of uptight, mediocre “church choir” style music. Wow, were we wrong! It was anything but! Every single song was top-notch, professional, and engaging… even their costumes and props were second to none. We’ll be back, New West… again and again and again!”</p> <p><strong>New West Symphony &amp; Chorus </strong>is a powerhouse of music and passion, blending a full-voice choir with a dynamic orchestra to create unforgettable performances. Since 2010, this vibrant adult ensemble has dazzled audiences with its eclectic repertoire, spanning classical, contemporary, gospel, and pop music. From soaring melodies to powerful harmonies, New West Symphony &amp; Chorus, directed by Henric Ideström and Natalie Prando captivates audiences, bringing every note and lyric to life in ways that leave a lasting impression.</p> <p><strong>New West Student Ensemble </strong>is a dynamic, energetic group of youth in Grades 7-12, united by their passion for music and a shared sense of purpose. This full-voice choir and orchestra not only create beautiful music but also form a supportive, fun-filled community where students grow as musicians and find their place to belong.
