Artist Bio:
Jenn Cole (mixed-ancestry Algonquin) is an Indigenous feminist performance scholar and performer living in Michi Saagig territory, where she is Assistant Professor in Gender and Social Justice erynStudies at Trent University and Assistant Artistic Producer at Nozhem: First People’s Performance Space. Her ancestral lands are in the Kiji Sibi Watershed. Her performance practice, research and teaching follow the performance histories of two rivers, the Kiji Sibi and the Odenabe and she strives to articulate ways to enter into more responsible relationships with creation and one another. She has performed in many Public Energy and Fleshy Thud initiatives, as well as worked as a theatre maker and performance curator with Ars Mechanica, Toronto Theatre Laboratory,the Canadian Association for Theatre Research and Circadia Indigena. Dancing is among her favourite things.

The Public Energy Rewind Room is a weekly livestream where we showcase full and excerpted performances from Public Energy’s archives. It’s a chance to gather together and enjoy art.
