Le reel oublié est une installation interdisciplinaire qui tente de reconstituer des épisodes spéculatifs de la vie du violoneux acadien Eloi LeBlanc (1909-1978). Par la mise en scène d’un violon dont il aurait prétendument été propriétaire, l’installation propose une série d’œuvres-artéfacts qui interrogent l’authenticité du discours historique entourant ce musicien et son mythe. Cette 11e édition de la BNSC souhaite interroger la manière dont le ouï-dire, par ses possibilités de traduction et de transmission, influence notre manière d’être et notre rapport à l’autre. Les réflexions que suscitent les œuvres nous engagent dans le changement, dans le geste même. Elles nous amènent à « propager la rumeur » et ces histoires qui influencent notre perception, nos croyances, notre réalité et nos espaces. À l’heure de grands bouleversements sociaux, 𝙊𝙪𝙞,𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚 ! prend tout son sens.
